Judiffier small

Judiffier Pearson is a leading educator in the beauty industry, pulling from her experience and expertise as a successful salon owner, color specialist and celebrity makeup artist.  She speaks extensively across the United States on issues pertaining to salon management, independent contracting, labor law, financial planning, and professional ethics.  In addition to engaging live audiences, Judiffier reaches large numbers of beauty professionals and salon owners through books, audio programs and videos.

Judiffier’s resume exhibits the mark she has made on the beauty industry’s business and artistic scenes.  The success of her employment-based salon, Behind the Veil, led her to broaden her investment portfolio with co-ownership of Salon Industry Suites, a “mini-salon” mall featuring 21 fully furnished suites designed for independent beauty and grooming professionals.  Serving at the helm of two successful salon operations that are at opposite ends of the salon management spectrum gives Judiffier a unique edge in training salon owners and aspiring entrepreneurs.  She authored the book Minding Your Own Business:What Every Salon Owner, Booth Renter & Independent Contractor Should Know as the first of many powerful reference tools designed to help self-employed salon professionals strengthen their operations and maximize their earning potential.

True to her passion and first love, Judiffier continues to hone and celebrate her craft.  Her   accomplishments as a hair and makeup artist have put her in demand for television, stage, video, print, as well as celebrity requests.  Her extensive list of celebrities served includes: LeToya Luckett, Silk, Charlie Wilson, Al Jarreau, Laila Ali, Terri Vaughn, Sister Hazel, The Grascals, Lynne Koplitz, Jerry Mathers, Bill Bellamy, Marilyn McCoo & Billy Davis, Doug E. Fresh, Tony Terry, Tramaine Hawkins, and Joel Osteen.  In addition to her ongoing practice behind the chair in her salons, Judiffier is also a contract makeup artist for NBC’s affiliate WXIA; FOX 5/WAGA’s Good Day Atlanta; and UPN Atlanta News at Ten.

The breadth and depth of Judiffier’s undertakings in the beauty industry would lead one to believe that the beauty business is all she’s ever known.  However, after graduating from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology, her career began as an adult education instructor for low income housing project residents.  She began to recognize her calling and true passion when she accepted a position in state-level government as an economic independence specialist for poverty-level citizens.  It was during this tenure that she realized vocational and technical training coupled with entrepreneurship are empowering forces for people from all walks of life.  What began as an endeavor to research career options for her clients became a life-changing journey for her.  Judiffier went on to obtain licenses in cosmetology and barbering, prompting her to not only learn the trade, but also transform the lives of its practitioners. She is dedicated to educating, enlightening and empowering salon professionals, freelance artists, and beauty business owners who desire growth professionally, financially and personally.
